Andrew Emmett

  Violin

Born in Munich, Germany, Andrew began playing the violin at age 7. His family moved to the United States when he was 9 where he continued his studies through his college years at Eastern New Mexico University with David Tubergen and also at the University of New Mexico with Leonard Felberg.

After spending 4 years in Venezuela as principal 2nd violin of the Caracas Philharmonic, he returned to his home in Albuquerque for 2 years to perform as a member of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra before moving to North Carolina where he served as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Winston-Salem Symphony until recently and is still a member of the Greensboro Symphony.

He has also served as the Associate Concertmaster of Roanoke Opera Company, the Carolina Chamber Symphony and still performs regularly with the Roanoke, VA Symphony, the Charleston, SC Symphony and other area orchestras. He maintains private teaching studios in Winston-Salem and also in Charleston, SC. Andrew has toured throughout Europe and the United States giving orchestra and chamber music concerts.
