Charleston Entertainment represents the area’s top professional artists and service providers, people and performers who treat each event as an opportunity to create a unique experience. Our primary focus is quality, followed by our aim to provide seamless service.

Our Story

Our beginnings were as graduate students in the College of Charleston Music Department, where several of our lead string musicians studied classical performance together circa 2005.

Cellist, Andrew Mille created a website for our first quartet, string trio and duet, in 2007. Our string ensembles were named Classical Charleston. There have been many websites since, and our team and friendships continue to grow.

Our lead violinist Tomas Jakubek is now adjunct violin faculty at CofC. He also performs regularly with the Charleston Symphony, along with the vast majority of our classical instrumentalists.

Thanks to our roots at CofC, our friends and colleagues include musicians who studied in the Jazz Program — artists whose contributions have, ever since, been integral to Charleston’s growing jazz scene.

In 15-plus years we’ve bridged the gap between our musicians, and the many event planners and clients we work with, including area DJs, and other service providers we’ve come to know and respect, as well.

Our Strings – Classical, Pop, Jazz..

Classical Charleston is known for its classical artists, who in addition to classical, perform unique arrangements of modern pop and jazz standards. We’re classically trained musicians, but we’re not snobs. We love popular music just as much as anyone else does. Seeing the look on peoples’ faces when we transition from some Mozart to a Led Zeppelin cover is just priceless. Have fun, we certainly do!
